We offer a range of support for schools using or wishing to introduce the Talk for Writing approach.
St Matthew's is proud to be part of the Research School network. We offer school-led support for evidence-based practice, including training courses, Evidence in Action mornings at St Matthew's and a monthly newsletter packed with practical ideas.
St Matthew's is a regional delivery partner for the Church of England Leadership Foundation NPQSL. This is fully funded by the DfE for all state schools in England.
If you would like to find out more, please visit our website www.cefel.org.uk/npq where you will find details of 'find out more' webinars, videos which explain our approach and information about how to apply.
We are proud to be part of the Exemplary Leadership Programme (ELP). This programme enables participants of all settings to build and enact their school leadership knowledge in very specific domains:
1. Establishing and embedding exemplary behaviour and an exemplary school culture.
2. Working with line-managers and subject leaders to develop a knowledge–rich curriculum.
3. Ensuring that curriculum is enacted powerfully, grounded in what we know works, and respecting subject disciplines.
St Matthew's is a regional hub for the Opening Worlds, a knowledge-rich humanities programme for teaching history, geography and religion in Years 3 to 6 designed and written by Christine Counsell and Steve Mastin.
If you are interested in getting involved, please contact: ResearchSchool@st-matthews.bham.sch.uk
We work in partnership with a small number of other organisations to offer excellent research-informed cpd for schools in the West Midlands and beyond.
Our team has a range of experience and knowledge and we can offer a range of training activities and bespoke support packages.
