"Reception has been inspired by Jackson Pollock and Piet Mondrian." Pollack was an American expressionist artist. He was widely noticed for his technique of pouring or splashing liquid household paint onto a horizontal surface ('drip technique'), enabling him to view and paint his canvases from all angles.
"Year 1 has been inspired by Yayoi Kusama" Yayoi Kusama is a Japanese artist who is sometimes called ‘the princess of polka dots'. Yayoi is considered one of the most important contemporary artists. She is also a novelist and a poet too.
"Year 2 has been inspired by Goldsworthy" Goldsworthy is a British sculptor, photographer and environmentalist, who produces site-specific sculptures and land art situated in natural and urban settings.
"Year 3 has been inspired by Klee and Matisse" Paul Klee was a Swiss-born artist. His style was influenced by movements in art that included expressionism, cubism, and surrealism. Henri Matisse was a French artist, known for both his use of colour and his fluid and original style.
"Year 4 has been inspired by Gaudi" Gaudi was an artist, architect and sculptor, who was born in Reus, Spain. He spent most of his life in Barcelona. Gaudi was also renowned for his mosaic art.
"Year 5 has been inspired by O'Keefe" O'Keefe was an American artist, best known for her paintings of enlarged flowers, New York skyscrapers and New Mexico landscapes.
